Two days ago, Made Manual published what it considers to be the "10 Best Restaurants Near Columbia University." And I became some emotion that falls between "more than mildly irritated" and "completely enraged." This is perhaps not a normal reaction to have to a "Best Of" list (although, judging from at least some of the comments on this Spectrum article, I am not alone in feeling this way), which was probably intended simply to inform and entertain.
And then I realized: I was taking the list personally.
