When I arrived in Morningside Heights last August, I was bright-eyed and naïve. Well, I suppose I wasn’t as bright-eyed and naïve as the freshman standing next to me because I had actually been on a college campus for the year prior and knew my shit. Like liquor before beer, you’re in the clear, obviously.
But even with extensive knowledge about sleeping late and drinking, this professional was not prepared for one of the more important aspects of college: the vocabulary that goes alongside it.
