A quick look around the world of Columbia and Ivy League sports to see who’s hot and who’s not.
Three Up:
1. Nicole Bartnik: Bartnik, a sophomore who plays No. 1 singles on the women's tennis team, has won all of her singles matches this year. Not a big deal you say? She's won all of them without dropping a set. Ivy League women's tennis is strong, so we'll see how this run holds up in April, but Bartnik's play is a great sign for the upstart women's team.
2. Track and Field: Two more records were broken this weekend (200m dash and 60m hurdles for women), as the men and women continue to impress with more strong performances. While the teams have both historically been very strong, these may be two of the best in recent memory judging by the strong individual performances.
3. Lauren Dwyer: Dwyer, who scored her 1000th point over the weekend, is the leader of the fourth place women's basketball team. Dwyer led the team's admittedly poor offensive performance against Princeton, and all the hope for a solid finish rest on Dwyer's shoulders.
