After a nomination by ArchDaily for Building of the Year, the Diana Center won the title, beating out five competing Education buildings. The Diana not only won the Building of the Year Award, but also earned an LEED Gold rating.
Debora Spar, president of Barnard College, said,
“The building’s dynamic presence on Broadway and the College’s public events series have helped to form deeper bonds between Barnard and our surrounding community. We are tremendously proud of the Diana Center’s LEED Gold rating and look forward to continuing to expand our environmental consciousness.”
