What ever happened to facing the consequences?
Sean Udell's recent piece about the fraternities involved in the drug bust seems based in a desire for a world without consequences.
I've been thinking about this question of consequences a lot recently. I think it's part of the tendency toward refusing to take responsibility for anything. One area I've noticed this happening in is relationships. There are guys I know who've spent months in relationships they wanted out of because breaking up is such a messy, explosive ordeal.
