Columbia Housing Lottery. Three words few students long to hear, and the reason for our existence. It's that time again! We couldn't be more excited. One week from today, Room Selection Registration opens (for Suite and General Selection---if you want to live in the LLC, you had to submit a roster already, and room selection is later this week), and then it's a month-long dog-eat-dog scramble to secure singles, good views, and hardwood floors, all while avoiding the horrors of the shaft.
Housing hasn't confirmed final floor plans and cutoff history yet (they've promised to do so by Monday), so the number-crunching we can do right now is limited. Today, we kick off with the basics—later this week, we'll get into strategies and tips to keep in mind before you've registered and are locked into a group. And, most important, we want your ideas.
