For this week's installation of “Top Shops,” Melissa Haney scoped out the Dr. Martens store in Soho---the boot maker's only shop on the East coast.
We all claim to be children of the '90s, but let’s face it, the only part of the decade most of us remember is the time when Pokémon was all the rage and TRL was must-see TV. During that whole Seattle grunge thing---yeah, those were the years of Barney and Disney sing-a-longs---Kurt Cobain was about as unrecognizable to most of us as the 20th president of the United States.
But we aren’t in the business of shattering dreams---keep on telling yourself that at five years old you were listening to this, and head down to the new Dr. Martens store so you can pick up a pair of leather lace-ups any flannel-shirt-wearing grunge rocker would adore.
