Cookie lovers rejoice: Levain Bakery---home of the legendary six-ounce cookies---opened its 3,200-square-foot Harlem store (2167 Frederick Douglass Boulevard between 116th and 117th streets) yesterday. No longer will students be forced to take the subway to the bakery's W. 74th Street and Amsterdam Avenue location for freshly baked chocolatey goodness. And if you're feeling ultra lazy, the Harlem location will also operate a mail order business.
