What I learned from the internships I didn't get

I am going to try to write this post without seeming sad and bitter. This will be a bit difficult because I am, in fact, quite sad and bitter.

Recently, my fellow blogger Raphael Pope-Sussman wrote about the need to maintain dignity in today's job market. And, yes, I agree. Dignity is good. I would like to point out, however, that the search for an internship—not even the internship itself! just the search!—is inherently undignified.
