UPDATE (5:46 p.m.): Appointment times are up! Click here. The numbers don't seem to match the situation. Housing has 530 10-point persons (sophomores) slotted for General Selection, however the appointment times PDF only lists 189 sophomores. We're waiting for further word with Housing, though if the appointment times were the accurate numbers, the entire General Selection sophomore class aside from those who receive Furnald singles will be placed on the waitlist.

- Harmony---69 singles
- River---118 singles

-------------------------------
We have received word from Housing Services that this year roughly 130 juniors will not have the opportunity to pick into a single when they select their housing. In addition, there will be roughly 200 sophomores placed on the Sophomore Waitlist this year, up from 67 students a year ago.
The juniors who will not receive a single will likely have to pick into the least desirable blind doubles leftover.
In response to the shortage of singles, Housing will open up the rooms vacated by the three fraternities to juniors for summer transfer---originally intended for transfer students. Housing will also offer around 60-70 apartment housing rooms that are similar in style to Watt or Woodbridge, which ordinarily would be reserved for graduate students as well as Barnard housing, of which there will be 14 rooms available. The rooms Housing opens up will be quality rooms (possibly better than what would have been ordinarily selected) and will all be within five blocks of campus (not any farther than Harmony, Woodbridge, or EC).
Housing expects that through the summer transfer process, all rising juniors will be able to receive quality housing (you will get better than the shaft). Priority is given by reverse lottery number, meaning a junior with a lottery number of 3,000 will get priority for summer transfer over a junior with lottery number 2,500. The estimated cutoff will be lottery number 2575 assuming everyone above picks a single (a big assumption).
