While I was quote browsing during English class the other day, I came upon a priceless gem of knowledge: “Other people don’t hold you back, the belief that you need their approval does.”
Although not written by William Blake, or belligerently uttered by Charlie Sheen, I knew these words deserved my immediate attention.
Coming to college inevitably shook up my confidence. Although I had the exciting opportunity for a clean slate, where no one knew about my brace-face stage in the 7th grade, or that time I tripped in my dance concert sophomore year, I still found it hard to let go of some of my most ingrained insecurities.
