Take Back the Night's annual march and speakout is tonight

Barnard students and members of the MoHi community will hit the streets tonight in Take Back the Night---Barnard's annual march against sexual violence. The rally and step-off will begin at 8 p.m. at the Barnard Hall steps, followed by an hour-long march. Families, friends, and strangers will gather to reclaim the streets as a safe space. After the march, Barnard will host a speakout at 10 p.m. in LeFrak Gym in Barnard Hall, where survivors and participants in the community will speak anonymously about their experiences. Women still lead the march, and anyone who identifies as a women on a daily basis is welcome in the front section of the line. Starting this year, people of any gender will be allowed to help marshal the parade. The march itself will continue to be coed. Read the full story in print here.
