Update: Four of our own have won!
Eric Foner, Professor of History, has just won a Pulitzer in Letters, Drama, and Music under History for his book The Fiery Trial: Abraham Lincoln and American Slavery. The book already has received much critical attention.
Siddhartha Mukherjee, also a professor at CU, won in the category of General Non-fiction for his book, The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer.
Zhou Long also received a DMA from Columbia and Ron Chernow won the B-School's George S. Eccles Prize for Excellence in Economic Writing.
It wasn't all smiles though - CU favorite Alan Brinkley's book was nominated for the biography category, but lost to Chernow. Sorry Brinkley! better luck next year.
