It’s 70 degrees and there isn't a single cloud in the sky---the city's practically begging you to slide into those Havaianas (or Birkenstocks, if that’s how you roll) and take to the streets. But wait---it’s finals week. Yet, those longingly staring out of the bright, sunny windows of the Butler Reserves shouldn’t get too down-and-out, for the Upper West Side is chock full o’ top shops that can provide a quick---and entirely necessary---session of retail therapy. For this week's "Top shops," Spec's Melissa Haney took a moment to de-stress at two neighborhood shops.
Take the subway if you must, but try and schedule some time to walk down to Mint and Purdy Girl on Columbus Avenue. Less than a block away from each other, these two UWS boutiques offer up some great, out-of-the-ordinary takes on summer staples.
