Senior middle-distance runner Jeff Moriarty is not a particularly imposing figure when you first see him, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t a calorie-burning machine.
Moriarty is another athlete who doesn’t equalize his calories throughout each meal of the day, but rather tries to get in one big meal and a couple of other snacks. He isn’t entirely sure about his calorie count, and he has a good reason.
“[My diet] is more about making sure I get enough of everything as opposed to just counting calories and being super neurotic about it,” he said.
Still, Moriarty was able to estimate his calorie count to be about 3,000 per day.
So how does this track and field star get in “enough of everything”?
