ORGO NIGHT RECAP: The lawns, Greeks, and Osama

This year’s Orgo Night had some hilarious jokes, and what CUMB really did well was incorporate global affairs from earlier this week,  making the performance very timely. As usual, the campus stereotypes (read: Barnard jokes) discussed were more than you can count, but the campus community still laughed out loud at each one.

The band entered Butler 209 at 11:59 p.m. to Roar, Lion, Roar, before quickly staging its first quip of the night. The introduction contained a reference to last week’s Varsity Show as the Band was “back, despite, about seven too many Saboring puns.”

After a rendition of Who Owns New York, the band decided to mock campus administration for their recent change to the Bacchanal proceedings. As a result of a bureaucratic error, they said, “Orgo Night has been moved to the lawns this year.” The joke was simple yet well received by those in 209—and the band continued to make people laugh with a request to “please step back from the fence. The show cannot continue unless you step back.”
