Yale faculty votes for reinstatement of ROTC

At Yale yesterday, a "significant majority" of 200 Yale faculty members voted last night to approve a series of four resolutions that would remove the previous restrictions on ROTC. The barriers to ROTC at Yale have been in place since 1969, during protests surrounding the Vietnam War. The new resolutions would allow ROTC courses to appear on students' transcripts---some of which will be awarded academic credit---as well as offer recognition to the military personnel who teach the classes and provide financial aid to students who withdraw from the program.
