Tips from the SWYGH editor on how to survive your exams. Yes, I have math and science classes, too---please take my conventional wisdom seriously.
1) Sleep. I am convinced that getting melatonin levels straightened out is the primary motivation for giving us study days. I am consistently amazed by the number of people who insist on staying up all night during study days and then whine about being (unusually) exhausted during test week. Basically, take it when you can get it; the boost in productivity afterwards will far outweigh whatever time you "wasted" by going to bed at a reasonable hour.
