After a two-hour lightning delay, the Light Blue track and field teams are finally finished with day one at the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships in New Haven, Conn. Several strong opening performances should give the women a chance to win the title.
Junior Sharay Hale began the day on a high note for the women with her outstanding performance in the 400m prelims, finishing in 52.46 seconds, more than three seconds faster than the next best competitor. Hale also posted the fastest time in the 200m prelims, positioning her for high finishes in both races.
