Scabby turns 21, spotted outside Columbia's gates again

There’s been a furry not-so-little guest hanging outside the Columbia gates quite a bit this summer---"Scabby the Rat" has been spotted around the 115/Broadway and 115/Amsterdam gates all last week to protest Columbia’s labor standards. This isn't the first time unions have made a point of using their rodent friend outside the Columbia gates, as he was seen several times last semester.

Scabby, a staple of union protesting, is having a big birthday this year---he’s turning 21!  He made his first appearance in Chicago in 1990 when some bricklayers wanted something scary to make their point at a protest, so they contacted Big Sky Balloons and Seachlights for some help.
