In an email sent to some faculty members at Columbia, Nicholas Dirks, Executive Vice President for Arts and Sciences, disputes claims from Moody-Adams that there are structural transformations underway to diminish the role of the College.
Specifically in the email, Dirks (he's a big deal) states that although the Planning and Policy Committee of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences has made its recommendations from the review, President Bollinger as well as other members of the senior administration have yet to make any decisions on the review's recommendations and intend to continue discussing the recommendations of the review during fall.
