(UPDATE 9:06 p.m.) According to a public safety notice released just now, the University has activated its Emergency Operations Center in Lerner Hall (who knew we even had one). If there's a power outage, everyone is supposed to go to their lobby/lounge.

Westside closed about an hour ago and will likely stay closed until Monday, according to employees. Like the S&P downgrade, this was never supposed to happen.

In other news, Duane Reade has closed for the evening, and Deluxe and Nussbaum will be closed until at least Monday. Tom's and Il Cibreo will be open, but you'd have to be a blithering idiot (or someone who forgot to stock up on Nutter Butter) if you trekked there in this hurricane.
