Classes have begun and so has the fall sports season. Men's soccer got their season started on the right foot this past weekend, defeating both Fairfield and Sacred Heart.
Friday night, the Lions won at Fairfield 1-0 behind sophomore David Najem's goal right before the half-hour mark. Sunday, it took overtime to decide it, but the Lions beat Sacred Heart in overtime 2-1, behind junior Will Stamatis' goal 1:11 minutes into the overtime period. This is the Lions first overtime win since 2008.
