Columbia opens up the season today at 1 P.M. with a contest at Fordham (0-1). This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Liberty Cup, and holds special meaning to the players. Junior quarterback Sean Brackett will begin his second full season as a starter, coming off a strong 2010 campaign. This veteran Lions team will face off against a Fordham team that beat them at home a year ago. Last time they met, the Lions fell on a late-game touchdown, with a final score of 16-9. The Rams will be led by senior running back Darryl Whiting, who has led the team in rushing yards for the past two years.
