This week it was announced that Alisa Weilerstein (CC '04) was named a 2011 MacArthur Foundation Fellow. For those of you who don't know: this is a pretty big deal. The award not only comes with a cash prize of half a million dollars, but "no strings attached" support for the next five years. The MacArthur fellowship is known by many as the "Genius Award" and allows outstandingly creative individuals to pursue their dreams without any obstacles.
