Once called “the brightest star in New York’s choral world” by the New York Times, Kent Tritle is starting a Morningside Heights residency as St. John the Divine's newest director of cathedral music. Tritle brings 30 years of conducting experience, as well as faculty positions at Juilliard and the Manhattan School of Music, to his inaugural year at the cathedral. He regularly plays the organ for the New York Philharmonic and hosts an hour-long radio program on WQXR (105.9) dedicated to choral music.
