If you happened to make the all-too-familiar afternoon trek to 1020 because you left your tab open last night and forgot to close out, you may have noticed a smörgåsbord of balloons, floats, and flags on Amsterdam Ave. and 107th St. It's all part of the 14th Annual Marian Parade. The celebration showcases the Virgin Mary in all of her depictions across Latin America and the world. We briefly stopped by and asked one of the participants for some literature and were pleasantly surprised when the flyer had an English and a Spanish side!
If you were planning on praying today for something like the return of Campo, and you're at least partially fluent in Spanish, be sure to stop by. Photos after the jump!
