Blankfein has withdrawn from the Power Talk series at Barnard, which was supposed to take place on October 12. The Barnard site states that he will be unable to attend due to a commitment in Washington D.C.
CU Activists were planning to hold a teach-in outside Barnard gates to protest the controversial CEO's talk, which would also have been simultaneous with ongoing Occupy Wall Street protests. Some economics faculty members were planning a separate protest as well.
