“You should go for this. It's a really unique opportunity.” That’s the message I received from a friend a few days ago. She was referring to the email the Athletic Department sent out about searching for a student to be our mascot, Roar-ee the Lion. It’s something I considered extremely seriously over two years ago (April 2009 to be precise), when one of my friends found out who I needed to email about being the great Lion. Sadly, things never worked out back then (I chickened out and got influenced by those around me).
