Having a Columbia Dining Plan is all about choosing the lesser of a broad array of evils. Err on the side of more dining dollars instead of meals. Choose Ferris in Lerner Hall over John Jay, with its faux-wooden chairs, unforgiving fluorescent lighting, and that hard-to-place-but-it-can’t-be-good smell. This is not to say Ferris is significantly better, but despite all its shortcomings (that spiral staircase of doom!) it’s your best option for predictable food on the go.
