Last night the protesters at Occupy Wall Street were told to "temporarily vacate" the premises of the park by 6 a.m. so that it could be cleaned. The protesters were wary that they would not be readmitted into the park, especially given that their re-admittance was contingent on following the guidelines for the park that include "no tarps or sleeping bags" and "no lying down."
Ben Gittelson, who was at the scene, reports that a new sign was recently installed detailing the rules (thumbnail), which have supposedly been in effect the entire time but have not been enforced.
