Homecoming heartbreaker: Three quick thoughts on the Lions' near comeback

A lot went right in the fourth quarter for the Lions, but once the clock hit two minutes, it was as if Cinderella's carriage changed back into a pumpkin. Some very costly penalties and poor clock management by coaching caused the Lions to hold themselves to a field goal to tie the game at 20 with about 1:30 left on the clock. Penn got the ball and drove down the field for a home-wrecking, game-winning touchdown, good for a 27-20 victory over the Lions. As crushing of a loss as this was, there is definitely a silver lining of positives for this team and after this week, they should have plenty of reasons to be excited for the next few games coming up.
