Sometimes, living in the Columbia bubble, we forget about all of the cool and interesting places that lie outside of the confines of campus—probably because all of our basic needs can be addressed between 110th and 116th streets. But wasn't the whole reason we decided to go to school in New York City—as opposed to Ithaca or Hanover—to take advantage of all of the amazing culture that this city has to offer? For those of you (and I'm sure there are many) who need a little push to get out of Morningside Heights, the CHEATSHEET is here to help.
You may have seen this pamphlet-sized sheet of brown stock paper floating around campus, but for those of you who haven't, the CHEATSHEET is a tightly curated list of six bars, restaurants, and events around New York—two uptown, two downtown, and two in Brooklyn—aimed to help Columbia kids get off campus and explore the city.
