'Understanding #OCCUPYWALLSTREET' with help from CU professors

It's been nearly six weeks and Occupy Wall Street is still going strong at Zuccotti Park. Since its beginning on Sept. 17, the movement has grown and shaped its meanings and goals, different for each of the thousands involved. It has even spread to other cities.

Last night, at Understanding #OCCUPYWALLSTREET, four Columbia professors discussed the happenings at OSW to help students and faculty to better understand the protests. Organizer and Ph.D. student Joe Blankholm said this is the first of a series of lectures that he hopes will “bring together voices both for and opposed to the movement.”
