I feel like more than half the students here either are, have been, or at some point will be premed. And why not? Isn't being a doctor the perfect embodiment of success? You're respected, well educated, and you get to cut people open or shove tubes down their throats. Think about that—it's pretty frightening exciting stuff.
There's also that whole helping people/philanthropist aspect. I know that's what drew me in. The idea of helping people heal? Sign me up... Possibly?
