A Hitchhiker's Guide

Probably the craziest thing I did last year was get into a black car filled with machine guns.

It made sense at the time. All I wanted was a ride, and in the tough market of Israeli hitch hiking, you play the cards you are dealt. In an odd twist of fate, the car ended up being backup security for a top Israeli politician who was visiting the area. In retrospect, their level of security remains unclear to me: Picking up strangers off the side of the road seems less than secure.
