They made how much?

Have you ever watched a reality show and wondered why you can’t get paid exorbitant amounts of money to have your daily life captured on camera for it be judged by anyone who watches MTV? Did you stop reading after “exorbitant amounts of money” and think of everything you could buy with The Situation’s salary? Then you, like me, are part of the 99% of people in America whose lives aren’t recorded for cable television. And I, like you, am mad as hell and not going to take it anymore! I think we should occupy reality TV.

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino

Claim to fame: The Jersey Shore

2010 earnings: $5 million

Let’s be honest. Nobody likes The Situation. One could even argue that his hard drinking, womanizing and fist pumping imply that not even The Situation likes himself very much.
At any rate, most people can agree that $5 million is a hefty sum for someone to make – especially someone whose money was mostly made from Devoition Vodka endorsements, an autobiography, and his clothing line (for people who feel their clothes should tell the world that they’re douchebags). This is all in addition to the $30,000 he made per episode of Jersey Shore.

More income inequality after the jump.
