Lucas Papademos, former CU economics professor, assumed office as the new prime minister of Greece this past Friday. He follows in the footsteps of other heads of government with Columbia ties---most notably, Barack Obama, as well as Mikheil Saakashvili of Georgia and Toomas Hendrik Ilves of Estonia.
