5 Angst-filled bands from puberty we want back in our lives

For those of you who haven’t heard, Evanescence, with their bleak aesthetic and hauntingly vague sound, have recently started making music again. We can only hope that they’re only one of the many bands from our formative years to crawl out of the woodwork. Evanescence's return got us thinking on the other bands we would want to come back–if only to remind us of sitting alone at the lunch table, overcome with angst (hormones), wearing the hell out of our American Eagle graphic t-shirts while doin’ it.

1.Fall Out Boy: Discovered in the underground Chicago music scene, Fall Out Boy catapulted to prominence with sardonic and absurdly catchy songs like, “Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down” and “Dance Dance.” If you were a suburban kid in the early 2000s, Fall Out Boy probably had a considerable hold on your new iPod Nano’s “Top 25 Most Played.” Come back to us. Come back with your alt-girl heartthrob Pete Wentz and your fat, unemployable Macklemore prototype, Patrick Stump.
