Even though the holiday itself is over, Thanksgiving break goes on for the next few days and with it comes more opportunities for some pretty bad situations. We're not just talking about the average, "My family gets drunk, starts bringing up the same old arguments, and then everybody gets mad," issues either—unfortunately, everybody's got those and everybody's got to deal with it. But there are some other problems—more or less Columbia student problems—that might come up in the few short days of our break that remain. So here are a few examples, along with a few solutions.
Problem: The high school party
This probably isn't a problem anyone would've had for fall break since we're the only college with a break for election day, but now that "the gang's all here," you know someone's throwing a party. It's not even going to be the good New York kind of party you've gotten used to, but the drab, high school, beer pong slop fest. Also, that asshat that stole your boyfriend (or girlfriend) will probably be there, and heaven knows you don't ever want to see her/him again.
