What do you get when you combine poodle skirts, high-school angst, nuclear reactors, and true (teenage) love? The opening night of Zombie Prom, of course! The story-line is simple: bad boy (Chris Evans) meets good girl (Emily Feinstein) during a nuclear attack drill, fall in love, and pledge to be true to each other forever, all within one song. By the next song of course, the pressure of parental, societal, and authoritative disapproval has forced the girl, Toffee, to tell her beloved Jonny (without the H) goodbye. Instead of drowning his sorrows through illicit underage substance abuse or by writing morbid poetry, Jonny decides to throw himself into a nuclear reactor. The rest is an hour and a half of cheerful song-and-dance routines, 50’s prom dresses, and zombie rights filled history.
