Hopefully you're bringing your bike back with you as you return from break. Recent events promise to make the Big Apple into a cyclist's paradise. Here are the biggest reasons why things are looking up.
1. Upper West Side bikers got a holiday gift this season as a new crosstown bike path opened in Central Park right around Christmas time. As we
reported last month, biking advocates say the path will make biking across town safer and quicker. The path, just south of 96th street, is designated with pavement markings and signage. However, bikers are required to go slowly—pedestrians and bikers share the route.
