To be a student at Columbia, it often seems, is to be chronically sleep-deprived. To help make the most of the sleep you do get, there's sleepyti.me. Go to the website, tell it what time you need to wake up, and it will tell you what times you should go to sleep in order to wake up feeling refreshed.

This is not just a "wake-up time minus eight hours" calculation: Panicked over how much reading I still had to do, I told it last night at 1 a.m. that I needed to be up at 8. The site returned several different times that I could go to sleep, up to as late as 3:30 a.m. --- giving me plenty of time to finish my reading.
