People don't believe that I watch "Jersey Shore." Just the other day, I overheard one of my suitemates insist (to my one other suitemate who watches it), "Sam doesn't watch this! She does? I'm going to have to have a serious talk with her."
But that talk won't be of any use. Time and time again, my fellow Columbians have tried to chip away at my position on both the Garden State and its infamous depiction on MTV, but obviously to no avail. If anything, the NJ skeptics are the ones who strengthen my pride.
