Banks' billions: Bank of America Corp, Wells Fargo & Co, JPMorgan Chase & Co, Citigroup Inc and Ally Financial Inc have agreed to a $25 billion government settlement to be spread out over three years. The banks will be required to cut mortgage debt amounts and extend $2,000 payments to homeowners who suffered foreclosure. It may help about one million borrowers, but all five banks are still under fire from various lawsuits.
