I am (not yet) a great computer hacker

Mayor Bloomberg and I have a lot in common: He rides the subway and so do I; he has an occasionally rocky relationship with members of the media and so do I; he has admiring Internet fans and so do I [Link not available]. So when I saw back in January that one of his new year's resolutions was to learn to code with Codecademy, my interest was piqued. If our mayor, at 70 years old, can learn to code, why couldn't I?

My interest was further enhanced when I found out that Codecademy is the product of two Columbia (and Spectator!) alumni, Zach Sims and Ryan Bubinski. Thoroughly intrigued, I clicked over to codecademy.com to investigate. Spoiler alert: I was pretty impressed by what I found.
