HuffPo has yet another article on college rankings, this one from Princeton Review’s survey of the best quality of life on campuses. Barnard came in at number five, but Columbia was not on the list—no surprise there.
The news stirred up a familiar feeling I like to call Barnard Envy, or the occasional longing among CC or SEAS students for the comforts Barnard has to offer. My particular strain stems from the fantastical image of Barnard I have. I imagine a paradise where bureaucracy does not exist and all the students are nurtured and loved.
