The Flaming Lips enjoy a huge amount of indie cred and a twisted sense of humor, as well as fierce creativity, so it might be natural to think that a tweet from front-man Wayne Coyne that reads: “Yep…recording with Ke$$$$$$$$$ha!!!” might be a joke. But that is indeed what Coyne tweeted on Jan. 21, and there's video evidence that it exists. There's no word yet on when this project will turn into an album, but it seems plausible that Ke$ha’s collaboration with the Flaming Lips could also usher in some other potentially fatal joint projects, like the following:
Taylor Swift + Li’l Wayne
Swift and Tha Carter’s collab would probably come about at the behest of record labels (stuff like this always does). Debuting at the Teen Choice Awards, Swift could be singing about how Wayne’s Romeo takes her somewhere where there’s lots of pot. If gangsta rap could be made cute enough for elementary school, these two would be the ones to do it.
