Alex Pensler (CC ’14) finished off his first year on the Columbia men’s fencing team with one of its highest averages by winning 70 percent of his bouts for an overall record of 38-16.
During that first year, he earned an honorable mention All-American in his first NCAA Championships and now the Chicago native has proved that all eyes should remain on him. His sophomore year has been even better, as last weekend Pensler had a record of 11-4 to earn first team All-Ivy distinction.
