NJ Gay Marriage: The New Jersey Assembly passed a bill, 42-33, legalizing gay marriage. Republican governor Chris Christie is expected to veto the bill, but many Assembly members are nonetheless simply thrilled by the progress the bill has already made, since it signals a continued shift in legal opinion on gay marriage.
